Executive Director

Overall responsibilities:

The Executive Director works in partnership with the board of directors and staff to provide leadership, vision and direction for the organization and to develop and implement organizational strategy. The Executive Director implements the policies and strategies approved by the Board, manages the organization’s services and operations and represents the organization in the community. The executive director ensures that operations are carried out in accordance with orthodox religious guidelines.

The preferred candidate will possess a combination of the following:

  • University degree in related field of study
  • Expertise in delivery of human service services;
  • Experience as a public spokesperson; 
  • Bilingual with strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong management skills with an ability to manage diverse operations;
  • Proven track record of sound financial management;
  • Leadership style that encourages creativity, growth, collaboration, problem solving, open communication and accountability;
  • Strong knowledge of the Jewish community;
  • Proficient computer skills;
  • Experience in not-for-profit community organization strongly preferred;
